Comedian Jennifer Saunders, best known as half of the celebrated duo “French and Saunders” and the Absolutely Fabulous Edina Monsoon, was born in Sleaford in 1958.  Having reached the heights of stardom in her self-penned series Jennifer went on to make cameo appearances in Spiceworld: The Movie and across the Atlantic in well-loved shows Roseanne and Friends.  In a Reader’s Digest poll of 2005 she was named Britain’s fourth funniest woman.
